A VICTORIAN PARLOUR RE-VISITED (large Ensemble)

£3.50 (Score only) see below for ensemble parts

Jolly settings of four Music Hall songs for a two-part choir, guitar ensemble, violin, bass and xylophone ad lib. The guitar parts are easy, (Grade 2-3) but the whole ensemble needs rehearsal to achieve the necessary vigour and humour. Score, instrumental parts for guitars, violin, bass, xylophone, and vocal scores all sold separately to suit different ensemble numbers and instrumentation. There is no single standard format for this edition, so please make it clear what various parts you need when ordering. The Guitar 1 part is designed for capo at 5th fret. If you are using a large choir, a guitar group of at least 12 players is recommended. With only 2 or 4 singers, a guitar trio will suffice.

Level C / D / S

All parts sold separately: please specify what you need. It is best to contact us first to discuss how best to apportion parts for your ensemble. Conductor's score £3.00. Vocal scores £1.75 each, instrumental parts 30p each

ECLOGUE - Ian Gammie (6 Guitars)

£5.00

An extended fantasia for sextet or guitar orchestra with gratifyingly full writing for all six parts, needing players of equal ability. Level F / G

THE BATTLE OF PRAGUE - Frantiscek Kotzwara (8 Guitars)

£9.00

Arranged by Ian Gammie. This piece was all the rage in 1780 and you can see why: a brilliant drawing room "battle" piece with cannons, dragoons, trumpet calls, wounded soldiers, Turkish Quickstep, God save the King, kettle drum effects, etc, all included in the commentary that runs through the piece. The first guitar is for requinto tuned in A, the other seven guitars are in standard tuning. See also CMP 437

Level F

Score and single parts - extra parts 60p each

CMP 391

CONCERTO in D Major - J.M. Böhm (two soloists and guitar ensemble)

£8.75

Written by J.M. Böhm (c1720) arranged by Ian Gammie. Two soloists and accompanying ensemble (ideally of 6 to 10 players) are the intended forces, though a compressed version can be made by guitar quartet. There is an easy ripieno part for inexperienced players, and the Continuo Guitar needs to read fluently with Bass D. There is a set of parts for string trio with double bass for those who have a chamber orchestra at their disposal. The work is more in the form of a large trio sonata in four movements than a conventional concerto. The two solo parts need good players but are not excessively difficult. Four movements: Grave, Allegro, Andante, Minuet. Duration 11 mins.

Level F / D

Score and 2 sets of parts - extra parts 30p each
